अमेरिका की राजधानी वाॅशिंगटन में कैपिटल बिल्डिंग में हुई हिंसा के दौरान भारतीय झंडे के लहराए जाने को लेकर सवाल उठने शुरू हो गए हैं। तिरंगे के भीड़ में लहराने के बाद से ही सोशल मीडिया में खूब बवाल मचा है और कांग्रेस और बीजेपी के नेता आपस में भिड़ गए हैं। भारतीय जनता पार्टी के सांसद वरुण गांधी और कांग्रेस नेता शशि थरूर के बीच इसको लेकर सोशल मीडिया पर घमासान छिड़ा है।

अमेरिकी संसद भवन पर ट्रंप समर्थकों के हंगामे के बाद बीजेपी सांसद वरुण गांधी ने गुरुवार को एक विडियो ट्वीट किया और लिखा- ‘वहां पर भारतीय झंडा क्यों है? ये एक ऐसी लड़ाई है जिसका भारत कभी भी हिस्सा नहीं बनना चाहता है।’ वरुण गांधी के इस ट्वीट पर कांग्रेस नेता थरूर ने ट्वीट करते हुए तंज कसा था।

शशि थरूर ने कसा तंज
वरुण के ट्वीट पर कांग्रेस सांसद शशि थरूर ने लिखा कि दुर्भाग्वश, कुछ भारतीय भी ट्रंप के समर्थकों जैसी मानसिकता वाले हैं। जो तिरंगे को हथियार की तरह इस्तेमाल करते हैं। और जो उनसे सहमत नहीं उन्हें एंटी नेशनल बता देते हैं।

थरूर की ट्वीट के बाद वो सीधे वरुण के निशाने पर आ गए। वरुण गांधी ने तिरंगा लहराने वाले व्यक्ति से जुड़ी तस्वीरें शेयर कर पूछा कि प्रिय शशि थरूर, अब हम जानते हैं कि यह पागल आदमी आपका दोस्त है तो कोई केवल बस यही उम्मीद किया जा सकता है कि आप और आपके सहकर्मी इस हाथापाई के पीछे चुपचाप खड़े नहीं थे। जिसपर सफाई देते हुए थरूर ने लिखा कि मैं इसका समर्थन नहीं करता। क्या आप हर शुभचिंतक के गुमराह कार्यों के लिए खुद को जिम्मेदार मानते हो।
